Coast Ecological Province
The mountainous
uplands of the coast Mountains and the hill, valleys, tidelands,
headlands, and beaches between the mountains and the ocean.
It is characterized by very steep dendritic drainages related
to 20 rivers draining into the ocean. Elevations in Oregon
range from sea level to about 4,00 feet on prominent mountains.

Sandy
beaches and coastal headlands south of Cape Lookout in the northern
portion of the Coast Province.

Looking
southwest from Marys Peak. Fog in valleys that extend to
the ocean is typical for this province.

Douglas-fir-western
hemlock forest in upper Siletz River drainage, showing abundance
of deciduous trees that commonly proliferate after logging or
burning.
